When Prentice Hall (the publisher of the original English edition) told me that my book was going to be translated into Chinese, I sent them an image of my Chinese name for use by the Chinese edition. Unfortunately, the Beijing publisher instead used a phonetic transliteration of "Mak". My actual Chinese name is [Mai Zi Qiang].
